2009-05-13 Is he running away?
Recent threads seem to have been using the day-before date.
Third panel is utterly confusing. Elf we haven't seen before, looking into darkness.

It looks like a sihouette of Rainae.
May be, that wasn't really Jon last strip? It was Meji wearing a Jon illusion. Jon is a master of misdirection.

Nah, he wen't sniping. His gun could still have silence enchantment on it - can't put up a barrier if you don't see it coming. He only needs high ground and some distance to avoid/hide from retaliation of surviving elves.Slamlander wrote: May be, that wasn't really Jon last strip? It was Meji wearing a Jon illusion. Oh, Rainae, we hardly had time to get to know you . . . and your pony tail . . . sniff . . .
History celebrates the battlefields whereon we meet our death, but scorns to speak of the plowed fields whereby we thrive; it knows the names of kings’ bastards but cannot tell us the origin of wheat. This is the way of human folly. --- Henry Fabre

Color me weird, but I find that "action" like this gets uninteresting relatively quickly. Yes, there's a fight going on; yes, there will be odd tactical twists during the fight; yes, there is some element of suspense in figuring out just what Jon is up to, not to mention Sarine vs. Sarna. But other than the obvious importance of seeing who lives and who dies, the important stuff in this venue is what happens AFTER the fight. Lots of sword-swinging and spell-casting doesn't necessarily move the story toward that stuff.
Because old is wise, does good, and above all, kicks ass.

The same goes for Lightsabers fight in Star War, never the less if they weren't here everyone would complain about it.
