Well! Someone's not going to be treated nicely when the shoe is on the other foot.

Waitaminute, so no one told him the Senile One zapped into Meji? He's in for a shock when he threatens to to take away her Ipod if she doesn't stop whining.
I'm amazed Ellis hasn't spilled the beans already. Takes a lightening bolt to shut him up under the best of circumstances.

History celebrates the battlefields whereon we meet our death, but scorns to speak of the plowed fields whereby we thrive; it knows the names of kings’ bastards but cannot tell us the origin of wheat. This is the way of human folly. --- Henry Fabre

i'm starting to fear that we lost another major character, and a good foil at that.

Nah, Ellis is afraid that Meji can now zap him permanently.
Not at all clear whether or not Meji is also a prisoner or what sort of story she told.
Our airship captain thinks that he is looking for a specific device. He must not have been properly briefed or he doesn't completely believe his brief.
Lest we get on about him being an unimaginative bureaucrat, those sorts don't usually make captain of anything larger than a smallish rowboat.

Somebody better be more honest with Sarine than he was with the Tsuirakuan captain or there will be trouble.
I have no doubt they kept a lid on the fact Meji has a tenant in her attic now.

hi hi
People might give our plucky thief a hard time because he didn't come clean with his elf lady friend, but I think this qualifies as a wrong place wrong time situation. On the other hand, letting the annoying cat monster spill the beans while in the presence of a dude who's holding you prisoner qualifies as a wronger place wronger time situation.

Does anyone have any idea what Sarine is talking about? Situation? Does she know? How can Jon fix it?
