Dun dun dun dun... =) Let's see what happens to you, Chris! :) Will you suddenly attain better wisdom and become Ian's henchman? :D Or will you become subject to his whims and fancies?

By all rights, these developments should lead to Chris getting squashed like a bug. Any guesses as to the plot armor that will save him, despite Poe's oft-stated aversion to plot armor?

well the steroipical rpg hero meets the big bad. Offer him the darkside Ian you must!
The most terrifying fact about the universe is not that it is hostile but that it is indifferent but if we can come to terms with this indifference and accept the challenges of life within the boundaries of death however mutable man may be able to make them our existence as a species can have genuine meaning and fulfillment. However vast the darkness, we must supply our own light. Stanley Kubrick

Can he still be called a stereotypical superhero? I'd wager the Ensigerum tore that naivete to shreds already.

I think he should go for option C: run the bloody hell away. Follow the trolls, maybe. They seemed to be the only intelligent race in the comic.

Which includes a general disinterest in making friends with any humans, one might note. Regardless of whether or not anyone else thinks Chris qualifies as humans, I think the trolls will not let him join up.

Or as this comic's plot seems to go (The most blindingly obvious, yet completely random and illogical);
Chris will gain Ian's trust, until eventually he somehow kills off Ian, absorbing his god-powers, then transforms himself into a troll then flies off to some troll camp, and challenge's the chief in combat, then, in the court, Chris does a big slam dunk as the winning point for the match and wins the heart of the head cheerleader who has only just realised the mistake of going out with the school's lead jock and they go off to Las Vegas and get married and have lots of little supertroll babies.

...Or something.

Well this certainly beats my god-trap-train scenario...
