So from this, we are to deduce that red-shirted Tsuirakuans are stupid, right?

Nah, that was a given. This is a cool scene though.

It's like those Samuri flicks where they run at each other and at the end one of them stands still for a second before his head falls off.

Yes, it just ripped a golem apart for punching it once. Obviously the smart thing to do is punch it again. Now why didn't I think of that?

"That's right, Tom. Essentially we're going to do exactly the same thing we did earlier, except this time we'll expect an entirely different result."

The first golem only used part of its power, so the obvious thing is to go for full power once they see the strength of the pedo-feary.

To assume the red-shirts would possess the same knowledge as we readers do is just stupid.

Well, if the golems are all you have and there's at least a chance you can smoosh it if you use the full power of the golem, and you're otherwise going to die if you don't give it a shot, then it makes sense to be doing what they're doing.

Even if switching to Begging for Mercy as early as possible happens to be the strategy that would maximize their survival probability, I'm guessing that's an unlikely choice for them given the training they've most likely had.

With this strategy they'll be cleaning up golem parts for weeks.

Hopefully they have a really big recycling bin . . . :|
History celebrates the battlefields whereon we meet our death, but scorns to speak of the plowed fields whereby we thrive; it knows the names of kings’ bastards but cannot tell us the origin of wheat. This is the way of human folly. --- Henry Fabre

Now, now, the guards haven't read the script and don't know that Nookie has god-like power. "Hit 'em again, harder!" is a natural reaction, as well as being one of the cheers I remember from my high school days.

It was also the motto of a American submarine named Harder back in the Big War.

Burning Force is still the best theme music for a small, cute critter suddenly mustering unstoppable energies . . .
