Yep, he's flashbacking. Still out cold in Ensigerum village. I wonder what profound leson will he learn this time?
Edit: wait, he must be waking up in the last panel, but I don't think that's his hand.

That's what I thought. That he was waking up. And why is he in the Ensigerum village? Didn't he blow up Luminosa? Shouldn't he be in that general area?

Remember, his war-on-god ended abruptly when the surly time ninja posing as a surly palace guard guy zapped him from behind.

Would that be a hand job?
at least it seems to be female, worth something, Seems to be a fairly nice hand too... makes me wonder who it belongs to

Ian's whacked and maybe blending memories with a little prodding from the goddess. It might be a while before we see reality, or the empress could slap him awake next strip.

My money's on the hand being Anilis giving him the Goddess equivalent to a Correction Punch ala Captain Bright from "Gundam"
If this is the case, then by law his whiny-ass personality will be reduced by at least 75% and his attack abilities will skyrocket minimum of 100%.

My money is that Ian's going to have trippy halucination memories for the next few days, blending his own with some half-remembered Anilis god-memories (so that we still don't have any idea what actually went on back in the Pre-human days) before he gets punched/kicked/waterboarded back to consciousness.

so there's evelyn, early in life.... that must have been hard on her, considering her disease's progression.

It's as good a cliff-hanger as any, on which to hang a scene change
