I'm guessing Meji faked it in the first place and is now going to be "Oh, woe is me, whatever has happened to poor innocent and definitely-not-a-threat-to-anybody me. How long have I been out?"

And she was looking so very...energetic just the other day, too.
Hopefully she had the good sense to focus on un-melting her brain faster than it could liquefy, while she was faking incapacity. At least the doctor isn't suggesting using a large rock to trepan her skull or using random energy drain spells. Maybe Gramps can find someone she cares about more than herself and incinerate them real quick...now who does Meji care about more than herself...?

The sad thing is I am now conflating Meji with Azuka and waiting for Ian to "pull a Shinji".

That is an awfully round looking ear...I wonder if that is foreshadowing an upcoming, more widespread transition. Sort of a "Hey look, we fixed the bug in the original design, looks like it was the ears afterall."
