Seems more like a process of discovery than a dialog to me, as in she is wondering why her head doesn't hurt and thus checks what has changed.

I wonder if Meji heard her grandfather the first time, but that delay mechanism meant she could only answer him a couple of panels later. It should be interesting to see what she can do now that she isn't focus on keeping her brain from melting. I wouldn't be surprised if she immediately teleports to Ian's location. After all, there's only another few months to resolve the comic.
