When my wife was knocked out and on a respirator, she woke up and tried to sign that she had to pee. The nurses freaked that she was awake because she had earlier tried to pull the respirator out while still opiated and knocked her back out instead of listening to me. I was just sitting there saying, "she's just trying to communicate with ASL not rip it out anymore." A week later she was out though.

I hope the tube comes out soon and her throat is ok.

Well, from what's been said she doesn't much like being a patient, so it's to be expected that waking up and finding herself STILL in the hospital would bother her.

I'm glad she's awake now. It sounds like her kidneys are recovering which is good. Will she be going to a rehab hospital after this? If you guys lived around here I could recommend a couple of good ones, but I know nothing about the Cincinnati area.

Glad to hear she's doing better. I hope she's breathing fully on her own and talking soon and home not long thereafter.
