I think if anything the scene shows that Ian may be well intentioned but very volatile.

It might also show that Jon sometimes speaks without thinking. Or is suffering from Meji poisoning. Because a bit of thought would have suggested that if it were as easy as just getting a healer, Ian wouldn't be wandering around risking his life burning down libraries. Of course not having had much contact with half-elves (or probably Elves; something that's going to change in all sorts of wonderful ways), he may be taking Meji as representative of the species...

This scene also shows what happens when you have no combat skills and try to punch out a professional assassin. I guess Ian doesn't know about that yet but what a way to learn. I like Jon's confused look in the middle panel when he counters that by reflex.

Hmm, Jon's kind of a hypocrite here, but on the other hand, he probably didn't realize that Ian would take him seriously. Also, despite the smart ass comment, I suspect that Jon actually has a bit of sympathy for Ian and the whole sister thing.

Counting to "four" is about as "brainy" as I get... I'll need many clues!
Unless the word "Whud" is in a funny place (and sounds like "wood" which is slang for the place(s) it's near).
If it's anything to do with the names of the fonts I'll never in a million years...

Is that Meji's "shocked" expression? Or mild surprise?
