Is that deus ex machina spell Meji cast still working or is that just her dumb luck?

Obviously some time passed for Jon to fully free his magic zombie sister of slicy death.

EDIT: Strange, I did not post first. I remember this happening before to someone else.

So there is a door bell for that... simple yet effective. Who cares if there's more than one way to skin a cat, as long as you can skin it!

Looks like Meji is going to complete her thesis. I wonder... could it be that only errants can open the portal?

Well, so much for the "magic manacles are keeping the gate from functioning" hypothesis.

Yeah, that kinda looks like an interesting question right now, doesn't it? And another one is "is that a bug, or a feature?"

I'm not quite sure what I'm supposed to see in the fourth panel. The portal from behind as the lightshow starts? Seen from behind as a way for Poe to avoid showing how our three heroes jump in almost instantly/are sucked in because they are so close? They sure are missing in the last panel.

"Aha!" cried Goodgulf. "The knob!" -- Bored of the Rings
History celebrates the battlefields whereon we meet our death, but scorns to speak of the plowed fields whereby we thrive; it knows the names of kings’ bastards but cannot tell us the origin of wheat. This is the way of human folly. --- Henry Fabre
