I'm... starting to think, that maybe Senilis and Enilis weren't 'resting', or anything of the sort, but that... their creations had managed to /seal them away/.

I thought that briefly a while ago but it doesn't make sense. Both sleep chambers are far beyond what elves were/are capable of. Note that both chambers are almost identicle and that both Gods are basically energy beings.

It is much more likely that the God's meat vehicles finally wore out and they had no other alternative, having failed with the elves as well. The Gods probably built the sleep chambers as places that could contain and preserve their energies.

It would be pretty ironic (I think it's situational irony) if Senilis ends up taking off in order to fuse with Anilis inside Ian, making him even more powerful and mentally unstable.
