registration filter
do you have any suggestions of how I can mount a registration filter like the one you have on your forums? I need one so badly. over 250 accounts on a forum that I run and they're all from porn bots.

What's your forum running on? If it's on phpBB then you should have the option in your administrative panel, and if you don't, then you can download and install a mod for that in about 20 minutes.

Re: registration filter
I'd strongly recommend upgrading to phpBB3. It's not 'finished' yet, however we over at vikingspace have been ritually abusing it for several weeks without finding any holes or unimplimented codes yet. Plus, it'd damn pretty.
Also, if you're serious about registration, there's always The KittenAuth. It supposedly works incredibly well, and at the same time makes you just wanna squee and pet the computer.

Re: registration filter
Maybe we should create a Poe-centric version of the KittenAuth? I mean, using obscure characters from ES would be a great way to prove the person signing up is a human, right?
Any code gurus want to volunteer to throw something like that together for us?
