"Oh, thank you." Lillith smiled and took Brad's hand. "I think that would be nice." She began to follow Jerecht, but paused for a moment. "Oh! Do you know how long we might be chasing them?" She nodded toward the other airship.

Re: Getsemiel, part 2
The Millenarian priest (a dumpy, middle-aged man with mousy brown hair, Sister Rose was relieved to note) nodded and pointed to a man groaning in pain. "Thank you for your aid, Brother, Sister," he said, properly addressing the man first, as a good conservative priest would. "You have much work to do. Start there."
The first patient's injuries were clear enough, Rose judged. For starters, he had a dislocated shoulder, and he was in shock. There was also a good chance of internal bleeding, she thought. That would have to be the first thing they treated; the shoulder shouldn't even require magic, and once that and the bleeding were fixed, treating the shock should be straightforward. She made a quick magical scan and found nothing else wrong apart from bruises and scrapes. This shouldn't be difficult.
Even better, under cover of the scan, she was able to take a quick look at the Millenarian priests doing other heals as well as the patients. It was hard to be sure, given the limited light, but only two or three of the thirty or so people on the ground, or walking about, looked blond and trim, like the ones at that disquieting castle. Maybe there wouldn't be any problems here. One could always hope, anyway.
"Well, let's get at it," she nodded to Tim, and started a prayer, noting out of the corner of her eye that Eli and Desiree were following suit.
-------------
"I don't know about you, sweetheart, but I'm ready to turn in," Brad confessed as Jerecht shrugged neutrally. With no answer forthcoming, the orderly showed him and Lillith to their room. It had been a long day, after all. Surely, as luxuriously appointed a vessel as this one would offer them both spacious sleeping arrangements, wouldn't it? And the gentle rocking motion of an airship should be conducive to sleep ...
... Of course, never having been on an airship before, he misunderstood design principle number one of airships: space is weight. There is therefore a premium of using every square inch of floor space on the passenger deck for something. Every square inch.
The "luxurious" room behind the door only had one bed in it; in fact, the bed basically was the room. It occupied almost all of the floor space. And it wasn't exactly of palatial dimensions. Two people could occupy it, but only if they were very good friends. Very good friends.
Brad looked at the bed, at Lillith, blushed, looked back at the bed. "Maybe I should help them stand watch and take a nap later..."

"Foolish man." Lillith said it with a smile, her voice affectionate. She reached up and loosened his collar. "Come here." She dropped down to the bed, pulling him with her.

Re: Getsemiel, part 2
Eli made his way to a groaning man who was nursing a leg that was clearly broken in several places. The patient gave him a brief, mistrustful glance that instantly gave the half-elf a surge of irritation.
'Probably doesn't trust me because I'm not a member of his little cult.' He thought, out loud he said. "Relax sir, I'm just here to help. Keep still. I'll fix you right up."
It was old hat; the healing spell. It was one he'd learned some twenty years before in the aftermath of an incident that had involved Eli, an uncooperative horse and a really bad landing. He rolled up the man's trouser leg, repressing a wince of disgust for the mess underneath. He took a deep breath.
He channeled.
The effect was simply electric.
Lost in his own thoughts the half-elf had forgotten about the amplifying effect the amulet he wore had on the magic he used. He just registered the power pouring from the artifact just in time to see the mangled leg of the injured man change. It didn't so much straighten gradually and knit back together but snap back as stiffly as a ten year militiaman making a salute. The man's expression went from weary pain to galvanized shock in an instant. He shot to his feet and pinwheeled backwards as if the humanoid had pushed him onto a sheet of ice.
He fled. Eli watched him go, unable to think of anything to say.

It was fortunate that Sister Rose was in between heals, because her head whipped around as the man Eli had healed (and more) hurtled by.
"Eli? What was that?" she asked.

Re: Getsemiel, part 2
I follow Rose and the others into the temple and find myself a patient. He's an older priest who looks nothing at all like the creepy description that Rose assured us not at all convincingly was harmless. Still, I didn't have much time for disguises. He gives me a worried look as I kneel beside him.
"I'm, um, like totally here to help," I say, attempting ot mimic the speech patern of the other temple. The priest frowns, but relaxes and lets me work. Oh, good, I guess I got it right. I say a quick - and entirely mental - prayer to Anailis for aid, and begin healing.
"Eli? What was that?" Rose asked.
"Huh?" I ask, my concentration breaking. Fortunately, the old priest is mostly healed - well enough that I should move on to another patient, anyway. Instead I turn towards Rose and Eli, wondering what's happening now.

"Eli, what was that?"
Eli's mouth worked silently as he tried to find the words to explain what had just happened. More than anything else, he was feeling a crazy giddiness at the sensation of the power which had just flowed through him. It was as if all his senses had been turned up a couple of notches for an instant. The half-elf repressed an urge to laugh, knowing it wouldn't help the situation.
"I... uhh... picked something up in the last town." He said, a grin spreading despite himself. "It was..."
'She'll take it off you if you tell her.' His mind clamored at him suddenly. 'And what business is it of hers anyway? It's helping isn't it?'
"It was a... lucky purchase. The man who worked there didn't have a clue what it was." Under the gazes of Desiree and Rose, he lifted the amulet from beneath his shirt long enough for a short look, then pulled it off and stuffed it into a pocket. He tried to inject some sincerity into his voice.
"I made a mistake. Forgot I had it on. The... uhh... energy'll be drained soon anyway, I reckon."

"I tried to escort your sister and her beau to one of our guest accommodations, but they more or less appropriated one of the extra crew rooms," Jerecht said with a vaguely mystified shrug as he returned to the bridge. "I'm not sure how comfortable they'll be in there, but they seemed to find it amenable."
In truth, he'd wanted to have a word with both of them himself, but they'd more or less bolted before he'd had a chance to get a word in edgewise. Still, in the name of tact and discretion, he thought it best not to mention that they'd been more or less eager to get into a small bed together. Surely they were simply tired from a very long day.
Fayna turned a quizzical look on her father.

Argus shrugged. "Brad's a good man. Earnest. Loves Lillith dearly..."
"He's the most lovable moron you'll ever meet." Harker quipped, once again appearing from nowhere.
Argus started to respond, paused, then sighed and nodded. "...Yes. That more or less describes Brad. Not the brightest soul around, and dense as concrete. Still, he's clearly a man in love."
"Infatuated, in a silly boyish way." Harker corrected.
Argus sighed again. "...Yes, fine. I WAS trying to be kind to the man, Harker. But yes, he's a simple country priest. That about sums him up." Argus shrugged. "But then Lillith is a humble country priestess. The gods may differ, but she seems to find him agreeable." He looked into the distance. "...Though I sometimes wonder how compatible they really are, and just how much is them finding any port in a storm." He rubbed his shoulder absently.
