Re: 2017-11-09: Bail Out
At least the owner is willing to negotiate for her release, and not send the guards after them just for asking that she be released. Looks like Nikki is going to owe Jian a fair amount of money though. :p
Whatever Nevada state law says about the power of local security guards, I think this plot still works because a casino is supposed to call the police and transfer the prisoner to them right away, which this establishment clearly isn't doing. It's an interesting subject to explore though. Some states don't allow security to lay a finger on shoplifters, while in other states the guards can beat your ass if you don't cooperate with them. But even in the more reddish states, many chain stores forbid their employees from touching shoplifters out of fear of being sued.

I like these guys probably more than I should. I have a soft spot for small, ugly things who can get one over on larger, more glamourous people just by being clever bastards.

I like to imagine that Vegas casinos hire Joe Pesci clones as security. Maybe they can't legally beat up cheaters, but they can sure put a scare into them.
