I love the melty ceiling and the last panel. Makes me think of the classic "dun... dun... DUNNN" of Horror Films.

In other news, these forums vex me. I lost my Aiseirigh account. I am no longer a lurker extraordinaire. Back to working on that, I suppose.

Ian looks unharmed suddenly. Perhaps it is his silohuette that doesn't look all banged up and he's really suffering his wounds, but would a guy in a sad state of affairs melt the ceiling?

And who is this cleric that's taking charge? He seems to know a lot more than Jeramel, but I suppose that's not a hard act to follow anyway ;)

"Banish".

That's nice, safe and familiar vocabulary expressing tolerable and not entirely unexpected concepts. Jeramel may not get lynched after all. Oh, and Poe just told us that Ian's got more raw power than the entire Tsuirakan civilization.

Ian has an unlimited supply of whatever he wants now, it seems. Based on this, it makes me wonder if elves weren't good replacement bodies for the gods, maybe the gods made humans without telling anyone for the same purpose, but they, too, lacked the ability to host such awesome powers. Maybe the balance was errants, those wacky, daffy halfies who have a little bit of both worlds. The errants would be just unintended consequences of two separate evolutions for replacement bodies.

Interesting idea, there! That would also explain why the errants are so much more powerful: their potential's very high (much higher than they can reach unaided).
