No Wait! I have never hunted comments here before. Fresh hunting grounds and soo on. I must say hello then, its costumary isn't it? How are you? How do you feel? What do you like and dislake and soo on? Anyway, hope this will prove a successfull hunting ground. Or at lest one that is better then some other. http://www.nightshard.com/ Be free to move around the site and give me feedback on what to change. Don't be embaressed because I know ther is a lot. I only made it in iLife because I was too lazy to lose more time in any other program. There is some other things I would say here. But I am not good with first writing and talk between people. Especially when one dont se the other or others. Anyway, have a nice day.

I like it. I haven't got much contructive critisism to make on the art, since music is my area of expertise some creative knowledge, but I find the colors intriguing and the style refreshing. If you haven't tried it already, you might want to check out the Creative Works board of Kyhm Forums, from which these forums recently split off, aswell. Half the people there seem to be artists of some kind and the other half have a lot of opinions about such. They can, on the other hand, be a bit harsh with people they don't like, so be warned.

Appropå något helt annat: Varifrån i Sverige är du?

Your artwork is quite well done. I'm always supportive of fellow world builders, such as yourself and your colleagues. Artistically, I'd say you're doing a fine job so far, keep at it!

My only real criticism is the site itself. The pages load rather sluggishly for what few graphics that are there, especially in the galleries. This seems to be due to the site template you're currently using. It seems to be generating overly-complicated thumbnail images; that is, there aren't any small, independant thumbnail images, it's just loading and shrinking down the actual Gallery images which makes navigating far less fluid than it should be. In fact, all the images seem to be more complicated and larger in size (large in size meaning that the files themselves are large, not necessarily that they are visually large) than they really need to be, even those not in the galeries, including the background images. I have a fast cable modem and tested your site on three different web browsers including Microsoft IE-7, Opera and Mozilla Firefox, so I know that the slow loading isn't a result of anything wrong on my end. All pages ended up loading fine in both Firefox and IE, but a few images were loaded incorrectly in Opera. I would reccomend a simpler all-around graphics theme to streamline things. For instance, there seem to be about at least a dozen+ separate images that go into each and every gallery section thumbnail on the main Gallery page when perhaps one image per gallery section would suffice. Of course, all these things might be due to your use of "iLife", or whatever it is. It may seem like I may be nitpicking, but the first thing I look for in a web site is it's user friendlyness and since you asked for constructive criticism, well I thought I'd give you my two cents. Other than that, I think the overall layout and design is fine, it just needs some tweaking here and there but I'm sure you'll get the bugs worked out in time.

Although, I am a little fuzzy on a few points. You and your colleagues are writing stories, both short ones and and longer ones, as well as working on web comics and you encourage users/fans to write their own stories set in the Universes you've set up?

Qylvard, I shall go there.

Gissa, över polarcirceln. Men kan vid vilken tid som helst vara när Malmö och Stockholm med viss reservation att Göteborg är ett stop på sommaren. Det hjälper inte mycket eller hur?

Weirdonian, I know. Currently designing a new site with Dreamweaver. But I have never been good at website design and was not. It will be finished if noone helps me at the end of the year. Unfortuantly I am a very bad programer because I want results fast, and that dosen't go fast enough for me.

And yes, the more the happier. I planned to start putting up weapon descriptions this weekend but he that is the primary collector of information had a bit of a run in with family and was called away. Theres two thigns I really love in this world then stories and various acts highly illigal in proximity to small children, and most other for that matter too. One of them is to talk to people about stories and experiences and the other is to give them false information while not really lying to them. So in short, yes. I'd love to see what people write and draw about a world they think that they understand.

Edit: By the way, if there are any webb designers out there that is simply bored at the moment and want something to do for a thanks and a virtual handshake. Give me a call.

First five pages are finished. I haven't had anyone proof read it yet. But there can't be too many problems in it. Shall work on the site replacement tomorrow and after that I shall start with the next bunch of five.

Cool! Looks like you've got a good start to things. I've bookmarked your site too.

Sorry it took a while to respond, I've been rather busy with off-line projects as of late.

Well, I planed to stop comming here because I am really not generating anything here at the moment. Going to try to be a bit more friendly at the beginning of things because I've been accused to be a bit overwhelming and intimidating. Thanks for the post.

Yeah, I know from first hand experience how downright hostile forum communities out there can be. Seven years ago I attempted something similar and was met with sometimes extreme agression. No matter how polite and friendly I was, I was looked upon as an unwelcome intrusion.

On the one hand, the communities I posted at were, apparently, populated by rude jerks, cause no matter how unwanted a presence is, if the poster isn't being rude there's no need to treat a guest that poorly. At the time, I had no idea how hostile seemingly innocuous forums could be towards those they percieve as being spamers. Over the years though, I've come to understand why such hatred exists. You see, for every friendly "Would you like to visit my site/forum?" poster out there, there are hundreds even thousands of spamers, trolls, bots and other jerks. And so, no matter how friendly you are, you can very easily be lumped in with those less-savory characters.

As I recall, I only ever posted to three sites like that and that was quite enough abuse. I've had some small measure of passive revenge: while my community still exists, all of theirs' died off years ago, forgotten and swept away as I had a feeling they would; I was treated extremely, inexcusably poorly in them, far worse than you've likely encountered, so you'll pardon me if I take some enjoyment in their ultimate failure. My advice is to stop posting on tons of forums to get the word out about your site and community. It's quite the gamble and often you come away empty handed and frustrated. Of course, this leaves you with the problem of how to get the word out. To survive you're going to need a lot of patience and perseverence. If you still want to spread the word yourself on various forums, pick a few communities and don't just talk about your own projects and work, get involved in those communities. Prove your worth, build bridges, make friends and you might just find some of the support you are seeking.

I wouldn't describe your introduction as unfriendly, intimidating or overly overt, but I can understand why the Errant Story community and others may not be paying you much positive attention. One of the reasons I responded to you was because at the very least you deserve a friendly voice, especially considering the reaction (or mostly lack there-of) I suspected you might recieve. I know how hard it is to try and build and maintain a site and community like you're trying to.
