This page reinforces my suspicion that Meji isn't lying or being an unjustified egotist when she says she's smarter than her classmates, the reason she's doing to fail is just because she blew off the classwork. It wasn't long ago she was giving a detailed explanation about the city of Saus, and here she is doing a historical dissertation. She KNOWS what people have been teaching her, she just can't play by the rules they insist on...
