Okay, so moving the presidential discussion to a new thread, did anyone watch last night's debate? Thoughts? Will you watch the next one?

I know this is a US of A-centric question, but I think it's fair to say that the whole world has an interest in the outcome of this election.

For the record, I did not watch, anticipating that it would turn into a charlie-fox more or less as it apparently did. I would still like to hear views from others who had stronger stomachs, or a greater addiction to live political events, than I do.

I tried to watch, turned out to have gotten the time zone wrong, saw comments about what a shitshow it was, and only watched/read about the highlights, feeling grateful that I didn't waste 90 minutes on that shitshow.

It appears that the October 15 event has been canceled, in favor of separate promotional events, one of which (Biden's) will involve actually answering voter questions (in theory)?

Correct, at least for the moment. However, Mango Mussolini's behavior has been so erratic in the last few days that almost anything could happen, although I don't expect this one to change; he may be non compos mentis right now, but his advisors aren't, and they'll be the ones who would do the rescheduling.

This is a MESS. Watch the news tonight (US time) as political weirdness often peaks right after the stock markets close for the weekend. Who knows what he's planning now.
