Ok, I didn't want to create a new thread for just the one anime I am looking for. There's a chance you might've seen it.
THe anime in question involves a dude that looks just like king from Tekken, punching a guy, sending him flying, and the sheer velocity of his flying body lighting a mfing TREE on fire.
The anime itself didn't stand out for its story but that scene was so memorably hillarious me and my friends are still wondering wtf was the name of that anime.
Edit: Guin Saga is the name of the bloody thing.
BTW would Azumanga Daioh fit in here?

I'm pretty sure I've seen people set themselves (and their surroundings) on fire via suped up punches in Flame of Recca AND Fist of The North Star too.
And yes, yes it would.

One anime and one psuedo-anime
Code Geass - I just finished this up, and it just got so ridiculous at the end it was hilari-bad. I loved it but it was one hell of a trainwreck once the second season started.
G-savior - The best (and only) live action gundam movie ever made. It may not fit into the word of this thread but damn you all should watch it anyways it's something truly special.

Okay, I'm tossing "Highschool of the Dead" onto the list. There is absolutely nothing redeeming about this show, but it is one hell of a guilty (very guilty) pleasure.

Mostly seconded. Though I'd say that the desperation the writers put their charas in every now and then is a redeeming quality of the show.Sareth wrote:Okay, I'm tossing "Highschool of the Dead" onto the list. Also I think that Kaempfer and Saki should be placed here. I enjoyed both and am kinda wanting for more, especially with Saki. Even though they are outright ridiculous to a good part.
The aforementioned Rosario Vampire goes on this list too. Though the anime doesn't come close to the manga (that's what you get when cutting away practically all the drama), it's still enjoyable. Partly because they actually play the fanservice card as a joke, in a way subverting that trope.
As for other things that were mentioned here:
- Bleach and reverse magical girl story
I've actually seen an AMV that took scenes from Bleach, the German opening for Pretty cure and made it work!
- Attacking mid-transformation
If I remember correctly, one of the demons did this in Devil Hunter Yohko.
- Avoid Queen's Blade
Follow that advice! I've seen a few translated doujinshi of it by now (all of them pure porno material) and all of them had way better storywriting than the anime. (It's originally not an rpg that it's based on by the way, but so called visual combat books.)
Now I'm a good and healthy male and I can appreciate a series for its fanservice alone. But not if it sucks as bad as this!
Saw the first episode of Freezing at the Connichi in Kassels and it looks as if that series is just as bad (and unsuccessfully tries to cover it up with a PPM* rate higher than Aika).
By the way: Aika should definitely be on this list! So yeah, it's a ridiculous series and fanservice galore, but it's fun!
*PPM = Pantyshots Per Minute
I'm with SD. We're putting the anal into analysis.

Ichiban Ushiro no Daimaou.
It's hecticly adapted, with original end, the characters are as flat as possible, the story is not less cliched, and yet this anime rounds out to something so enjoyable... I blame the green. I mean, Korone.

General Daimos? I remember it was very nothing special if we talk about story, but it had something. I don't know what, but it had this
