NEW GAME: Ten Words

Post by Imp-Chan »

This is a very simple game for as many players as care to participate.

Title:
Ten Words

Players:
Any number, rotating in and out of the game is fine

Materials:
None, unless someone wants to keep a score of some sort.

Premise:
You are walking through the city when suddenly a bit of graffiti catches your eye. Your muse strikes and the spirit of creativity races through you as you realize it is the perfect title for a poem or short story, and someone has conveniently left a can of spray paint right there for you to work with! Unfortunately, it's almost out of paint, and you only have enough left to write exactly ten words...

Rules:
Each player takes their turn, answering the preceding title with a poem or story of ten words that somehow tells (or at least implies) a greater purpose to invoke an emotional response. That purpose does not have to be sinister or humorous, however it almost always is. Titles cannot be reused, and responses cannot be longer than ten words.

Players who fail to come up with an original or entertaining response, or who use more or less than ten words, are out. The last player still writing wins.

Examples:

"Why the Dog is Gone"
The Cat is very good
at arranging these little things.

"Blood Meal"
I get the feeling that's not what one calls Communion.

"Moses writes home" (This one isn't mine, I don't remember who did it)
P.S. That thing about the Red Sea... all a lie.

"Supercalilagifri... Oh, bloody hell."
CUT! Try it again, kids. This time get it right.

Starting Title:
"Did I leave the oven on?"

Have fun, guys!

^-^'
Because scary little devil girls have to stick together.
