The Task: Tell a SciFi story.
The Catch: You get six words.
Go.
1) She wept. Her star had died.
2) At last he understood his programming.
3) Get out! Our station is eroding!
4) Out of the blackness, new life...
5) Why must we forget the future?
6) He pulled the lever. It clicked.
7) War had come, and left rust.
8) "Play with us," buzzed the mind.
9) "Jettisoned in desperation," the capsule read.
10) Someone help me, I can't stop!

1. Just three dimensions? The monsters disagree.
2. Supernovas turn out to be contagious.
3. Dolphins' language is spoken on Mars.
4. Almost everyone died, but not quite.
5. Cockroaches survive Armageddon, but not unchanged.
6. The Overlords come, disguised as TVs.
And finally, just as a reminder that we really would like to see Poe get back to the Errant World some time soon:

Re: New Game: Short Fiction!
My friend said he couldn't play because English wasn't his mother tongue. So to make him feel better about trying, I attempted to write one in Korean...
Purely through luck, I apparently got the conjugation right, which means I have now officially written a science fiction short story in another language! Eeeeee!!!
11) 아이들이 달렸다. 계란은 일어났다. (The children ran. The egg awoke.)
