Tsuiraku-town, part 3

As we play, occasionally we'll close a thread and open a new one to keep the size of threads (and relative complexity) down to a dull roar. Here's where we store the closed posts from the history of Errant Road.

Rufus nodded at Joe's offer.

"You offer a reasonable deal." He leaned back in his seat, glanced around the chamber (which was still in a state of disarray despite the new recruits efforts at cleaning) and sighed under his breath. "We could use the finances, truthfully. Very well, you can tell your employers we'll put some people on it."

"Don't sound so cheerful, Captain." Jade interjected.

"Mind your tounge, Ms Ermingard."

The Blacksmith bit back a smirk. The old man turned his attention back to the trio who'd arrived.

"Is there any additional information about this situation we need to know?"

OOC You can just PM them to me if you want to skip the back and forth of hashing out every little thing in-thread Grey. And if there are any new players wanting to jump in at this point, Rufus could always put them on the mission as a member of the guild./OOC

"Is there any additional information about this situation we need to know?"

Damned if I know,
Joe thought, then answered the question. "Not much. You already know as much about the fire at the liquor store as we do. As for the one at the Temple of the Divine Dwarf, their crazy-ass clergy are the ones asking for the help, so presumably they'll be cooperative. Whoever set the fire, on the other hand, might not be so happy to see it investigated, so keeping a low profile is probably a good idea." He smiled wryly. "Judging from your surroundings, you're good at that."

------------

Meanwhile, Layla was scraping her boyfriend off the ceiling of the house at the vineyard. "Don't worry, it's only until we learn more about the place," she reassured him. She smiled impishly. "Just think of it as an opportunity to get immersed in the local culture..."

[OOC: On that note, any objections to closing this thread after the response, and opening a new one called "Rinkaiel: Temple of the Divine Dwarf" or some such? We usually close threads after about 250 entries, just to keep the lengths manageable, and open new ones, starting immediately on the heels of the old one unless there's some significant change in venue.]

"Not too good I hope." Leo chipped in. "Otherwise this business'll be a still born."

"We have a certain level of decretion." Rufus said evenly. "We'll send someone up to scout the temple shortly." He rose to his feet a little less awkwardly than before, his company were glad to see, signalling that the business was done. He shook hands with the Gewehr and the group made their exit.

OOC: OK, new topic up, so this one will be locked shortly. Let's assume that all the preparations, etc., got made offstage, and fast-forward to the next morning to start doing whatever is going to be done. Layla is going to "contribute" her boyfriend to the investigation...
