'grats on Number 50, and I think this comic stands just fine as a testament to that for which DNPWWO represents.

Ah... Rape As Backstory. One of the classic tropes that is. Also, go refrences to the at times arcane D&D alignment system! Also, also congrats on making to 50, now get that ADVERTISING up and spread the good news! For me?
But srsly, I've been playing D&D for more than a decade and I still don't get it at times, but is cool I just do what I always do as a DM and make it up as I go along!

Because character development is interesting (Also, the other options are a unlikable angry emo and an annoying old mother figure).

The rape back story got to be so bad that several of my favorite Sci/Fi and Fantasy anthology writers started rejecting stories for their anthologies that had it in it.
I just want to see a ruthless assassin or adventurer who grew up with a perfectly normal childhood.

Good for them. Now if producers for TV shows would do the same. Especially crime dramas. I don't know how many female police detectives you see have to go through one of those "Very Special Episodes".SpiritInterface wrote:The rape back story got to be so bad that several of my favorite Sci/Fi and Fantasy anthology writers started rejecting stories for their anthologies that had it in it.
