Michael, you bastard, you stole our PLOT Lawyer! I have NINE full scripts for webisodes of Hired by PLOT sitting on my hard drive, scripts that YOU helped to write, and you went and dropped her into the comic?!

I'm really nowhere near as upset as I pretend, the character isn't completely identical, and she was always intended to be part of an interchangeable army of characters just like her, anyways.

The PLOT Lawyer is a character from a collaborative live action show we've been writing off and on since 2007 or so, called Hired by PLOT. The PLOT organization is a lot more than a union or a club, and I have no idea if Michael intends to use it for Does Not Play Well With Others or not. All of the characters in the show are unique, and have never had anything to do with the comic, but it seems Poe is not opposed to giving them cameos.

I haven't watched that before, but that's pretty much exactly what i had in mind. I can't imagine Jordan playing by those rules.

Because the script/PLOT calls for her to be more evil than she is currently behaving. Ergo the PLOT lawyer is trying to get the PLOT back on track. Which Jordan is resisting. It's similar to the narrative device/fourth wall breaking gimmick of a character arguing with the narrator or author and can be effectively used to lampshade hang characters behaving out of character or similar occurences, but in this case the concept is personified into a specific character, probably in an effort to avoid direct author interaction which in DNPWWO have been previously established to take place outside the construct of the "canon" itself, instead being a somewhat "behind the scenes" type glimpse with the strip characters represented by puppet characitures of themselves. I suppose the PLOT lawyer could be viewed as an in universe author avatar or representative but that may be taking the concept too seriously.
