with xray you look at someone you see their bones
with tray you see them naked through their clothes (but in monochrome). tray is what they use for the airport scanners

Yeah, t-ray is a nice idea. But if he had t-ray powers it amazes me how good he's able to control himself.
He doesn't live a nudism lifestyle nor seems to ever did. With a t-ray ability he would be horny all the time.
Sexuality sure seems to be a big part in his life but so it is to every other guy.

If he had had t-ray vision his entire life, the pseudo-nudity he saw with it would be no big deal to him anymore. "Seeing through your clothes" would just be "what you look like", not anything special.
