To answer Poe's question, it would depend on location as the states all have different liquor laws. I've "sat in" on a few classes to get your basic liquor license in Washington state and that would be prohibited here. The only reason bars will give you a free drink is compensation for a ruined drink you already paid for. Anything else, like a free birthday drink or a buy one get one free drink is straight up illegal.

The main problem Khinkae would face, I think, is trying to convince the bartender she is over 21.
