[NEW GAME!] Name that Tune
The Story
Late one night, Poe and I were suffering from horrible insomnia. So, being too tired to think but still somehow awake, we turned on the tv. Five minutes of channel surfing later, we stumbled across an amazing little show.
It was one of those annoying TV infomercials, only this one was for, well... toys. Yes, that kind of toys, with two perky shopping network ladies extolling all their virtues, just exactly like every other infomercial ever. Horrified and bemused, we paused to see what gyrating electronic horrors they happened to be selling. That's when they started hawking a vibrating attachment for an MP3 player. Apparently, it syncs to whatever song you happen to be playing, and follows the music. We spent the next twenty minutes coming up with more and more horrific musical choices that some poor, deluded soul might choose for exercising this device.
Weird Al.
The Cake Song.
The 1812 Overture.
The list could go on and on forever. And that's when it hit us... in our insomnia, we had stumbled across a potentially hilarious new game to try out here on the game board.
The Rules
Each player takes a turn, naming one outrageous song for the above purpose. The song doesn't have to just be a generally inappropriate and disturbing music choice... it could also just be a song that is oddly suited to the purpose. Songs cannot be reused, but you can reuse artists. On each turn, the play must match or escalate the choice of the last turn.
In the bonus round, players can name sets of three songs. These songs can total up to a disturbing sequence, or again, just be oddly effective-sounding choices.
Scoring is based on creativity, aptness for the stated purpose, and one-upmanship. The best score wins.
Have fun!

Ravel's "Bolero." Doesn't this basically end the game immediately? Or do I misunderstand what you mean by "vibrating"?

Gaston, from Disney's Beauty and the Beast.
The point is more to have wickedly bad choices from a cultural sense than good vibrations.

...
DAMMIT! I think I just removed an extra song from play.

Ipse dixit. Or, if you prefer, "Impy dixit."Imp-Chan wrote:The point is more to have wickedly bad choices from a cultural sense than good vibrations.

Re: [NEW GAME!] Name that Tune
So, looking to make sure I am doing this correct,
Eample would be:
Previous entry is "Bad Touch, by The Bloodhound Gang"
Next entry shoud be something like: "Love Should Never Feel That Way, by Alice Cooper"
Correct?
If so, then:
previous entry : "Gaston, from Beauty and the Beast Soundtrack"
"Nobody Likes Me", Alice Cooper

I'll give it a shot:
"Hate Me" by Blue October
(Am I doing it right?)

Re: [NEW GAME!] Name that Tune
"Deep In The Hole" by AC/DC
Although technically that might be cheating, because AC/DC has a lot of suggestively titled songs.

OK, if you insist:
"Bad to the Bone," George Thorogood and the Destroyers

(Most bands do actually use suggestive titles, thats what makes you interested, and listen for something you like in the song!)
"No More Mr. Nice Guy", Alice Cooper
