I though that most authors are writting such informations in some notes instead of keeping everything not shown to reader just in head.

You thought wrong!

Well, no. It depends on the writer. Some of them do actually keep meticulous notes. Many of them scribble on napkins and scraps of paper at random and can't make any sense of it later. And some just play it completely by ear.

And you'll also see various levels of organization with a writer where some things are meticulous (like the overall plot and main character details) and others are napkin scribbles or mere thought bunnies (minor characters and minor details).

And there are some minor characters that you just add while writing that scene to enrich it. And then you forget to update your notes. And you reuse that character later on, just once.

And then the fanbase goes nuts with wikis.

Wikis are good. I bet many of "napkin scribbles or mere thought bunnies" authors would be glad if some fans help them organizing informations. At least if they notice BEFORE they write something which contraindicates something they wrote earlier. Suprisingly, not many comics have wikis.
